Mobile Roadie meets Prime Minister David Cameron

Posted on by

Today marks the first anniversary of Tech City, “London’s dynamic technology hub” initiated by UK Prime Minister David Cameron. Tech City has grown immensely over the past year; there are close to 200 tech companies in Tech City now, up from a few dozen three years ago when Tech City was only Silicon Roundabout, which is now at the center of Tech City. In addition to technology companies, Tech City is home to digital marketing and creative companies as well, bumping up the number of companies in Tech City to an incredible number of 600.

Prime Minister David Cameron visited Tech City this morning, where he unveiled the official Tech City mobile app powered by Mobile Roadie. Joined by MoRo’s Director of International Sales Stephen O’Reilly, the prime minister tested out the app and was impressed. We were also joined by Charles Armstrong, visionary technology entrepreneur and founder of The Trampery, a collaborative working space in Old Street.

We’re honored to have been given the opportunity to meet the prime minister, as well as the opportunity to build the Tech City app.
