The International Outdoor Event Expo (IOEX) is kicking off tomorrow at ExCel London in the heart of London’s Royal Docks. Dedicated to live event production and technology, IOEX is jam packed with “cutting-edge and exciting content” that will deliver education and inspiration to those in various industries. The first day’s seminar program is dedicated to sport production; the second day’s program is dedicated to music production; and the final day’s program is dedicated to experiential and brands.

Mobile Roadie’s Director of International Sales, Stephen O’Reilly, will speak on the panel “Cashless and Connected: The Festival of the Future” on Wednesday, March 7th (1:00pm to 1:45pm). The panel will cover three points: 1) What are the benefits of cashless payment systems which are likely to roll out widely in 2012?; 2) What is the future for connecting the crowd as they become more engaged than ever through social media and mobile apps?; and 3) How are brands are working with these innovations?

Chaired by James Drury, director of the UK Festival Awards, the panel will also feature speakers Serge Grimaux (Head-Pilot, Intellitix), and Denzil Thomas (Head of BCL Music, Billington Cartmell)
