Mobile Roadie COO announced as first keynote speaker at Sound City 2012

Sound City has just announced that Andrew Mains, COO of Mobile Roadie, is their first keynote speaker! We are so excited to have Andrew represent Mobile Roadie as he discusses the future of music apps at Liverpool Sound City 2012.

Sound City is a three day (May 17-19th) international festival in Liverpool, England highlighting the best in music, media, live arts, and technology. Attendees include “creative and digital business professionals, artists, music, film and art fans” from all over the world.

Alan Welby, Director of Knowledge Economy at Liverpool City Region’s Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), spoke highly of Sound City and Andrew, saying “[2012 Sound City] offers us a unique opportunity to showcase the region for more leading creative and digital industries to do business here, and attracting keynote speakers like Andrew reflects the importance of the event and its appeal to delegates from all over the world.”

Past speakers include Peter Hook and Kevin Cummins, Alex White (Next Big Sound), Sean Adams (Drowned in Sound), Simon Raymonde (Bella Union), and Eric Pulido (Midlake).

Sound City wouldn’t be complete without live acts! The scheduled festival lineup includes artists like Death in Vegas, Professor Green, The Temper Trap, White Denim, Kids in Glass Houses, and many more.
