App of the Week: Tramlines Festival

Posted on by

The Tramlines Festival is an annual music festival held in Sheffield, England. Featuring national and local artists, the festival is free to attend and is organized by promoters, venue owners, and volunteers.

At the first Tramlines Festival in 2009, more than 35,000 fans attended. In 2010, that number almost doubled to 65,000. In 2011, more than 80,000 fans were in Sheffield Saturday – deemed a success, Tramlines received “Best Metropolitan Festival” at the UK Festival Awards.

Now Tramlines is back for another year, bigger and better than ever. And this time, the Tramlines team have released their own official app powered by Mobile Roadie. Jam-packed with over 900 listings, 70 venues, maps, directions, and app-exclusive competitions, the official Tramlines app is “your digital lanyard…your essential tool for making the most of the festival weekend.”

And to help users out, Tramlines released a “How-To” app guide in conjunction with the release of their app.

The best part about the app? You don’t have to be in Sheffield to experience the Tramlines Festival. Download the app at
