Berklee College of Music, located in the historic city of Boston, Massachusetts, is the “world’s premier learning lab for the music of today- and tomorrow.”

Founded by MIT graduate & music mastermind Lawrence Berk, the college was once known as Berklee School of Music back in the 50s and 60s, and before that was known as Schillinger House from the mid 40s to 50s. The school at that time was the first U.S. school to branch out beyond classical music and teach jazz & commercial music.

Since then, Berklee College of Music has continued to attract talented students from all over the world – thee school is home to 99 alumni who have won 221 Grammy Awards in total. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and is recognized as one of the top music schools in the U.S.

This month, Berklee released the official app for their award-winning online extension school Berkleemusic. In addition to exclusive content like videos, faculty blogs, and news, users can get free lessons and more in areas like music production guitar, music business, music theory, and performance.

According to Berklee, “there’s something for you in this app – whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a developing musician, a player, a singer, writer, producer, industry-type, or just a fan.”
